The
minimum percentage of marks required for admission
to the B.A. (Vocational Studies) Programme is 40%
and the B.Com. (Hons.), B.A. (Hons.) History and
B.A. (Hons.) Economics is 45% aggregate in any
of the following. examinations:
(i) Senior School Certificate Examination (Class
XII) of the Central
Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi with
pass in four subjects (one language and three elective
subjects) or an examination recognised as equivalent
thereto.
or
Pre-university Examination (2 years after 10
years of Schooling of an Indian University recognised
by the University of Delhi.)
or
Intermediate examination of an Indian University
/ Board of examination recognised as equivalent
thereto (pass in 4 written subjects).
(ii) Indian School Certificate Examination (12
years) of the Council of Indian Examination, New
Delhi (pass in 5 written subjects)
(iii) General Certificate of Education examination
of UK*
(a) (Wherever G.C.E certificate indicates the
grade it will be treated at par with the grades
of Indian Certificate examination
for purposes of admission requirement.) Pass in
five subjects at Ordinary level.
and
(b) At least in two subjects at the advance level.
These two advanced level courses may either be
chosen form among the five ordinary level subjects
or from outside this group as prescribed by the
University of Delhi.
Admission will be finalized strictly on the basis
of merit. All admissions to B.A. (Vocational Studies)
Programme shall be done on the basis of the percentage
of marks secured by the student in the, qualifying
examination out of the four best subjects including
one language.
Vocational subjects offered at the +2 level shall
be taken into consideration at the time of admission
only if these are directly connected with the vocational
programme being offered in the College. For commerce
based vocational programmes viz. Materials Management,
Marketing Management and Retail Business, Management
Marketing of Insurance, Human Resource Management
small and Medium Enterprises and office administration
and secretarial Practice any one vocational subject
shall be counted provided the candidate had offered
at least two commerce based subjects in Senior
Secondary Examination.
However, for the Non-commerce based programme
in Tourism one vocational subject shall be counted
provided it has some relevance with the programme
offered'for admission. The relevance shall be decided
by the Teacher-In-Charge in consultation with Convener,
Admission Committee.
The Students who have studied vocational subjects
at the +2 level having direct connection with the
vocational programme being offered shall be given
a weightage of 5 marks in their favour in the vocational
programme.
The following procedure shall be followed for
admission of blind students:
(i) Relaxation of marks upto 10% may be granted
while determining the eligibility of blind students
for admission to various programme in the College
on the recommendation of the University.
(ii)
Special
concession
in
tuition
fees
shall
be
granted
to
blind
students.
All
such
cases
shall
be
decided
on
individual merit.
Candidate must have completed 17 years of age
on the first day of October in the year in which
he / she seeks admission to the first year. This
is relaxable by one year with special permission
of the Vice-Chancellor. For such a relaxation an
application should be made to the Principal at
the time of admission.
No change of vocational programme shall be allowed
after admission in one programme has been finalized
and completed. The candidates are, therefore, advised
to select the vocational programme with care.
Minimun Eligibility Condition for Admission for Admission
in B.Sc.(H) COMPUTER SCIENCE
The
Candidate must have passed Senior School Certificates
Examination (XII) with Mathmatics, of the CBSE
Board or any other equuivalent examination
there to in Arts/Commerce/Science Subjects and
should have Secured:
a. 60% or more marks in Mathematics.
b. 55% or more marks in aggregate of four subjects including mathmatics, one
language and two Other subjects listed as academic Subjects
by the respective Boards.
Basis of selection
The admission would be based on
the aggregate of marks scored(Class XII) in the
best three academic subjects including Mathematics(not
more than one language to be Considered). the Students
who have Studied physics, Chemistry and Mathematics
in class XII will be given 5% additional weightage
in admissions.
